What will this tutorial teach me?

This tutorial will teach you the basics of using google to your
advantage by finding many useful things on it, such as files, passwords
mp3s, etc.

How do I do this?

You can do this by running different searches in the google search bar, based
on what you search, you can find all sorts of things.

Finding server's passwords:

Now, as there are an extremely large amount of searches possible with google, i will
go over a few, however i will link to sites with a larger database of these searches.
So, let's say that for some odd reason..... you need to find a servers password,
with this password you could do all sorts of things, wrek havoc on the server,
execute malicious code, and much, much more. So, in order to find this password you
will need to enter the following search: ?intitle:index.of? etc/passwd
so, what this search does is find the index of the "etc" directory, the parent directory
is where all the servers files are stored, and is only reachable through a search engine.
So, the etc directory is like a folder inside this "parent directory" and inside the "etc" folder,
are usually passwords, stored as a file called "passwd". If someone wanted to find the servers password,
they would get this "passwd" file, then use a cracking program from the internet to crack the encryption on
the password. Once you had done that you would basically have full access to the server.

Reading confidential documents:

Now, let's say a large business just posted a confidential document on their website which was only visible to
business partners who had a login and password, now, let's say that they put a large "not for public release"
title on the document, what this search does is search for the term "not for public release" which will automatically
go to documents with that title on them, even if this would not normally be visible on the businesses website.
In order to perform this search simply type in "not for public release" [ be sure to include the quotations.]
into the google search bar.

More reliable way to find passwords

a more reliable way to find passwords is to use the intitle:"Index of" passwd search, this works much like the
last one only is much more reliable.
